Welcome to Redwood Ranch
Redwood Ranch has been in the planning for many years, but started becoming more of a reality when I moved to Eugene, OR in 2006 and found there to be a lack of available agility trainers and practice areas. I spent the next several years figuring out what Lane County needed in the dog world and how to accomplish this successfully.
With a long background of training dogs, horses, chickens, and rabbits, I fell in love with the sport of agility in 2005 and soon after began competing with my first dog. After retiring Dixie, I am currently competing with my 4 year old Aussie named Yankee. My young dog "Jim Beam" just started his career with a successful debut this summer. Jim Beam's nephew "Lucero" is fulfilling the role of resident crazy puppy and loving life.
I utilize positive training methods, through praise, treats, and toy rewards. I focus on improving your communication and making the most of your relationship with your dog to foster a successful partnership. My strong belief that agility should be fun for both the handler and the dog creates a positive environment in which to learn new skills.
Welcome to Redwood Ranch!
